Safeguarding Information
At Brookfield Primary Academy we adhere to all national and local polices in regard to Safeguarding Children and Young People. Brookfield is committed to gender, racial, religious and disability equality in every part of school life. Brookfield is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
For information about What to do if you're worried a child is being abused, please read the guidance document as published by the DfE.
LEO Academy Trust Safeguarding and child protection policy is written in collaboration with all DSL's across the Trust. As such this is the policy we follow at Brookfield.
At Brookfield Primary Academy the safety and welfare of our pupils is of the utmost importance.
All adults working in the school have a duty to protect children/young people from all forms of harm and abuse as set out in ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education 2019’.
If there are Child Protection concerns then Suttons’ Social Care MASH referral systems are followed in accordance with the principles of the London Child Protection Child Protection Procedures.
The school’s policy and procedures also accord with:
- "Working Together to Safeguard Children” (HM Government, July 2018).
- ‘What to do if you’re worried a child is being abused’ (HM Government, March 2015)
